Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 11/19/2020 - Be Thankful
We are one week away from the Thanksgiving holiday, and although this celebration will look different for many of us this year, we still have so much to be thankful for! Personally, I am so thankful for every day I get to spend in person here at All Saints, working with our incredible faculty and staff and getting to know your children better. They continue to impress me with their kindness and their care for one another. I had the pleasure last week of subbing in several classes and thoroughly enjoyed the time with the students. Our students are polite, respectful, and truly concerned for the wellbeing of those around them. I am blessed to be their principal!
This week, as we continue to hear about COVID cases on the rise, it’s easy to go to a place of panic or doubt. At All Saints, we remain committed to providing your children with a safe, supportive educational environment each day. We do this because we firmly believe our procedures have been effective in keeping your children safe while at school and because we know that we can best educate them in person.
While we can’t invite you all into the building to see our safety protocols and procedures in person, we thought it might be helpful and reassuring to see what a day at All Saints is like, courtesy of our very own Mr. Lindgren. Please check out this video to get a glimpse of life inside ASCA this year!
As you can see from the video, we have several important protocols in place to keep everyone in our building safe. We know that these practices – hand sanitizing, mask wearing, social distancing, and more – allow us to be together here each day. We are thankful for each day we can be together, learning and growing here at school, and we will continue to do everything we can to ensure in-person instruction is safely available. Thank you for trusting us with your children and for doing your part outside of school to follow the same guidelines.
As we look forward to the holiday and extended break next week, it is more important than ever that we all remain vigilant and take precautions to keep ourselves and one another safe. While we may not be able to see everyone we’d like to see this Thanksgiving, we must trust that taking additional precautions is protecting our individual families and our extended ASCA family. If you must travel this Thanksgiving, please review and follow the CDC’s travel guidelines. If anyone in your family is experiencing COVID symptoms, please stay home from school until you are able to get a negative COVID test. Thank you in advance for your extra care during this time!
Today we concluded our Turkey Tango with our second and final Dance Day. As I shared yesterday, we surpassed our goal and are on track to raise over $29,000 for our school! Our hope is to collect 100% of pledges. Thank you to all our families who participated by making financial contributions and collecting pledges and donations from friends and family. Each dollar raised helps our school continue to grow and thrive!
For Thankful Thursday this week, we would like to recognize Bobby Menendez from State Farm, an ASCA parent and one of ASCA’s Cornerstone sponsors. We are grateful for his continued support of All Saints and encourage our families to consider supporting this local business. Click here to find out more about State Farm.

Mark your calendars for a very special event on March 20, 2021 – this year’s DDA! For those who are new to All Saints this year, the DDA (Dinner Dance Auction) is traditionally our largest annual school fundraiser. Proceeds from the event help us keep tuition costs low while continuing to provide an excellent, safe, faith-based education for each one of our students. This year, due to COVID restrictions, the event is being completely reimagined as a virtual celebration and fundraiser. The event will be called the Saints Strong Virtual Celebration (SSVC); look for more information coming home soon!
Lastly, thank you to our students who have performed Saintly Acts recently: Caitlin A. (5th grade), Jacob B. (1st grade), August W. (1st grade), Tanner K. (Kdg.), Leyla W. (Kdg.), Mrs. Aloisio (staff), Ashley S. (4th grade), Victoria K. (7th grade), Nathan G. (7th grade), Maddie B. (7th grade), Sydney D. (6th grade), Tyler T. (2nd grade), Ashley H.
