Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 5/29/2025 - Have a Great Summer!

This is the last Saints Speak of the 2024-2025 school year! Thank you for a wonderful year and for partnering with us in your child’s education. We are having a really fun Field Day today and are looking forward to our final day tomorrow. Thank you to Ms. Denny, ASPA, and all the parent volunteers for helping today to run so smoothly!

Tomorrow, all are welcome to join us for our school Mass at 8:15am. Students will return to their homerooms after Mass to get their report cards and say their final goodbyes before dismissing at 9:30am. There is no after care tomorrow. Students are also able to dress UP in mass-appropriate clothes tomorrow in place of their uniforms if they choose.

Our final saint this year is St. Ambrose. St. Ambrose was truly a peacemaker. As an Italian governor he was asked to go to Milan, where the people were beginning the process of selecting a new bishop, to prevent fighting among the people. He was able to bring peace among the disagreeing groups and did such a great job that they wanted him as their bishop! In a matter of days he was baptized, ordained, and consecrated as bishop. He went on to become one of the four original doctors of the Church. St. Ambrose was known for his ability to bring people together in a peaceful manner. He is an inspiration to all of us as we continually work to live out our theme of the year: “Peace – let it begin with me!”

Summer Hours

Next week, our office will begin summer hours – we are open Monday-Thursday, 9am-12pm. The welcome desk is not staffed during the summer, so if you do stop by please come to Door 7.

You may also reach our admin team via email throughout the summer. Teachers only check their email periodically during the summer, so if you email them please be patient as a response will take longer than usual.

Summer Academics & Family Faith Activities

Summer is a time for rest and relaxation, but it’s important to keep learning as well! Summer Reading lists and guidelines are available here:

Students entering 6th-8th grade math classes next year will receive their math packets tomorrow. These should be completed before their return to school in August.

I-ready is available to all students until July 21st if students want to use this tool to continue their learning over the summer. If you have any trouble logging in to i-Ready at home, please contact me.

Sadlier also offers 12 summer family faith activities! Click here for more information or to access the free downloads.

Lost and Found

This is one last reminder to check the Lost and Found before you leave tomorrow! There are many items there that will be donated after dismissal Friday.

Honor Roll

We are very proud of our junior high students who have earned a place on the Honor Roll for the third trimester. Click here for a list of these students! They will also be recognized at Mass tomorrow.

Thank you, again, for your partnership this year. We are blessed to work with your children! Please take a moment for this end of year prayer:

God of wisdom, we thank you for all the gifts you have given us throughout this school year. We praise you for giving us life, for saving us in Christ, and for choosing us to be your people.

As we come to the end of this school year, we voice our gratitude for the good things you have done in us, and we praise you for all who have shared in the work of this school.

We ask that you bless them in your love and give them refreshment and peace. We praise you, God, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns forever and ever.

Amen.

Have a restful and relaxing summer, and see you in August!
