Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 8/28/2025 - Curriculum Nights Bring Us Together

I am sending Saints Speak bright and early today, as I will be out of the building most of the day for Diocesan principal meetings. It was great to see so many of you for Curriculum Nights this week. I hope you enjoyed visiting the classrooms, meeting with the teachers, and learning more about what to expect throughout the year. As always, please reach out with questions and concerns so we can partner with you to ensure your child has a great educational experience this year.

Faith Buddies

The students will be meeting with their faith buddies after Mass tomorrow! We will wait until next week to begin focusing on a saint and holy habit. This week students will talk about what a saint is and how the saints are models for us by living out holy habits that we can practice in our lives.

Mass

The students did a great job at Mass last week, and we are looking forward to our liturgy tomorrow as well! We are proud of their active participation and their reverent prayer after Communion. This week, I asked them to focus on singing. Singing is a form of prayer, and God wants to hear us pray through song! Students (and parents) are encouraged to use the song sheets to sing along, and if our youngest students cannot read yet I encouraged them to start simple by joining in the Alleluia.

If you plan to join us for Mass tomorrow, please RSVP here by noon today. This will help us prepare for your arrival in the morning as we enact our updated safety protocols, as shared in yesterday’s email.

Arrival Procedures

Arrival procedures are off to a great start! Please continue to use both Door 1 and Door 7, going to the shorter line to avoid traffic buildup. Remember to pull all the way forward, especially at Door 7, where the first car should be all the way at the northern edge of the safety zone. At Door 7, do not unload behind the electronic sign. This slows down the line, especially if you are helping littles out of the car, because then the line moves forward and no one can go around you.

Upcoming Fall Fundraisers

All Saints has three fall fundraisers – the Fun Run, Trivia Night and Charleston Wrap sale.

  • Mark your calendars for the Fun Run on Friday, September 26th! The Fun Run takes place during the school day, and all grades have an opportunity to run laps, collect pledges, and earn prizes. More information will be shared in September, but click here for more information! Additional details will be shared as the run approaches.
  • ASCA is excited to host a Trivia Night this year! Trivia Night is also Friday, September 26th, in the evening. This event is for adults only and is designed to be a FUN-raiser as well as fundraiser. Book your babysitter now and look for more information next week!
  • All families are invited to participate in the Charleston Wrap sale, which runs September 2-26 this year. Charleston Wrap isn’t a fundraiser for the school, it’s a fundraiser for you – all funds earned will come back to you as a tuition credit! Click here for more information, and packets will be coming home today with your youngest child.

As a reminder, all fundraising opportunities are optional. Please participate to the extent you are able. We are grateful for your support!

Student Services

At All Saints we are blessed to have an amazing Student Services team who support our students and our teachers, working together to help each child learn and grow. Mrs. Aloisio, Mrs. Carden, and Mrs. Kujawa support our students’ academic needs. Mrs. Aloisio teaches our junior high study skills class for students who qualify for additional academic support and teaches executive functioning lessons to our students throughout the year. She also is available to help families at all grade levels if you are considering an outside evaluation, have a question about support services through the district, or anything related to academic challenges. Mrs. Kujawa and Mrs. Carden both support our students in K-5 by pushing into the classroom to assist the teachers and pulling out small groups or individuals who may need intervention services.

Mrs. Magana is our school social worker and supports our students and teachers with behavior, social growth and friendship, and mental health. Click here from a letter from Mrs. Magana introducing herself. She also teaches monthly social-emotional learning lessons to our students; click here for more information.
