Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 12/11/2025 - Be Open To God's Great Things
Our saint this week is St. Juan Diego, and we have learned about the holy habit of honor. We have shared the story of Juan Diego with our students and how Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to him. He honored her wishes and went to the bishop with her request, and eventually a Church was built on Tepeyac Hill and many converted to Catholicism. St. Juan Diego, a poor man, reminds us that God does great things through each one of us if we are open to Him. We also had Mass on Monday to celebrate the Immaculate Conception, so it has been a great week to focus on our mother Mary in this Advent season!
Upcoming Events
Next week is a busy one here at All Saints! See below for all the important “need to know” details!
- Tuesday, 12/16/25: Out of Uniform for the Class of 2027 Fundraiser. If your child did not purchase the out of uniform package he/she may bring in $10 to be out of uniform today or should come to school in uniform; no other OOU passes may be used. Best of luck as well to our Band students who have their concert this evening at 7pm at St. Philip the Apostle.
- Wednesday, 12/17/25: Preschool & Kindergarten Christmas Concert 8:30am in the gym. Kindergarten students may wear Christmas colors/dress clothes in place of their uniform today for the concert. Parents and guests may enter at Door 1 starting at 8:15am. If you’re sticking around after dropping off your child, we kindly ask you to wait in your car until 8:15 to allow for a smooth arrival procedure for our students.
- Wednesday, 12/17/25: 1st-5th grade Christmas Concert 6:00pm in the gym. Doors will open at 5:30pm; all students, parents, and guests should enter at Door 1, and students should be seated and ready to go by 5:45pm. Students should wear dress clothes, and Christmas colors are encouraged. Please, no jeans or graphic tees. Students should find their place in the bleachers in the gym when they arrive. All students should leave their coats with their parents to help with a smooth dismissal at the end of the show.
- Thursday, 12/18/25: Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest! Students may wear an “ugly” Christmas sweater or any shirt in Christmas colors today with out of uniform bottoms. Student Council will judge and present prizes for the “ugliest” sweater in each grade.
- Friday, 12/19/25: We will have Mass this morning so all students should be in perfect uniform or dress UP in Mass-appropriate Christmas clothes. After Mass students will see their faith buddies and then have some time in their classrooms before class parties begin at 10:15am. All students will dismiss at 11:30am as we begin Christmas break. There will be no after care, no bus home, and no lunch on this day.
Parking Lot Reminder
At dismissal, all cars are entering campus through the west driveway. Please do not block that driveway trying to exit. Thank you!
2025 ASCA Annual Appeal
We are so grateful for the generosity of this school community. We kicked off this year's Annual Appeal at Thanksgiving, and as of yesterday afternoon are almost 40% of the way to our goal in just two weeks. The appeal is one of ASCA’s largest fundraisers that recognizes the importance of Catholic education in forming saints and scholars of our beloved students.
What makes the annual appeal a little bit different than most fundraisers at All Saints is that the primary objective of the appeal is not a monetary goal (although we do have a target), but a goal of engagement. We appreciate your support and want to reward YOU for your participation in the appeal as we join with one another to celebrate the mission, vision and success of All Saints Catholic Academy and our students.
We are offering a Family Ice Cream Social to the winning homeroom that has the highest percentage of families making a donation of any dollar amount to the appeal. Last year's winner was Mrs. Porlier's 1A homeroom. Who will it be this year?
The Family Ice Cream Social is for the students in the winning homeroom as well as their parents and siblings, and is scheduled for Monday, January 12 after school from 3:30-4:30pm. Donations made from November 26, 2025 through 11:59pm on January 1, 2026 will count toward the contest. The winning homeroom(s) will be announced in the Weekly Reminders on Sunday, January 4, 2026. Donations of any amount count, and if you have more than one child at All Saints, your donation will count toward all of their homeroom participation percentages. This year's ice cream social is going to be bigger and better than ever with ice cream and all the fixings along with other yummy bakery treats. As a Bonus Reward, the homeroom teacher of the winning class will receive a $50 Amazon gift card.
What if there is a tie? We will schedule additional parties! More than one homeroom can win. Mrs. Bajek and I will continue to update you on the standings as we get closer to the new year.
Current Homeroom Standings (through 1pm on Wednesday, December 10)
- 1st Place: Pre K (Martinez) - 25% participation
- 2nd Place: 2A (Beardsley) - 20% participation
- 3rd Place: Pre K (Greco) - 17.65% participation
- 4th Place: KA (Lane) - 15.79% participation
