Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 1/15/2026 - It is Never Too Late to Late

Our saint this week is St. Augustine, and the students are learning about the holy habit of prudence. I mentioned St. Augustine last week; he is the son of St. Monica. In his early years he lived lavishly, putting material possessions and an indulgent lifestyle above all else. After meeting Bishop Ambrose later in his life, he changed his ways, turned to God, and practice prudence. He is a reminder to all of us that it’s never too late to change our ways.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

Don’t forget that Monday is a day off from school and a day of service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Consider one of our school-sponsored service events, or find a way to serve as a family on your own. Each act of service makes a difference to someone in need in our community!

Catholic Schools Week

We are getting close to Catholic Schools Week, one of the most fun weeks of the year at All Saints! Catholic Schools Week is an opportunity for us to celebrate all that makes our school special – our students, parents, faculty, supporters, and most important, our faith! The week will be full of themed days, dress down days, and fun events. Click here for a full schedule of what to expect for the week as well as what to wear!

We are hoping to have strong ASCA representation at our parishes as we prepare for Catholic Schools Week! This weekend, ASCA will be recognized at St. Elizabeth Seton, St. Margaret Mary, St. Thomas, and Our Lady of Mercy. Next weekend, we’ll be at Holy Spirit. Wear your spirit wear or ASCA uniform, take a quick picture, and send it to Mrs. Booker to earn an Out of Uniform Pass!

Lastly, our Catholic Schools Week Open House will be held on Sunday, January 25th, from 1-3pm. If you have a friend, relative, or neighbor considering Catholic education for the future, please invite them to attend our Open House. Walk-ins are welcome, or they may click here to sign up for a personalized tour.

Reading Challenge

We are excited to share that we will once again be participating in the Kane County Cougars Reading Club! Beginning next week, students are encouraged to read 100 minutes per week for 8 weeks, tracking it on these forms (paper copies are being sent home as well). Each student that completes the challenge will receive a free ticket to the Kane County Cougars game on Sunday, May 17th, along with other fun perks at the game.

Diocesan News: Survey

You should have received an email yesterday informing you of the upcoming Diocese of Joliet School Effectiveness Survey. The survey opens Tuesday, January 20th, and will only be open until January 31st. Please make time to complete this survey; your feedback helps us continue to improve our school for our current and future students. An email with the survey link will be sent on Tuesday; if you don’t receive it please be sure to check your spam folder. Last year, the survey was only sent to one parent per household. This year, while only one response per household is allowed, the survey link will be sent to both parents as long as you both have email addresses listed in FACTS. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us!
