Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 1/22/2026 - Our Holy Habit is Love

Hopefully everyone saw my earlier email announcing tomorrow’s school closure. There will be no school tomorrow (Friday, 1/23), due to the extreme cold expected for the morning.

We have two saints this week, St. Anne and St. Joachim, and our holy habit is love. Anne and Joachim were the parents of Mary and the grandparents of Jesus. The relationship between grandparents and grandchildren is such a special one. I know my own parents often comment how much they love being grandparents because they get to spend time with the grandchildren, love them and spoil them, and then give them back to us! Seeing our students with their grandparents on Grandparents Day and other events throughout the year is one of my favorite things. There is so much love shared in these relationships, as well as respect and admiration. We are grateful for the example set by St. Anne and St. Joachim, and for the amazing grandparents in our own lives.

Catholic Schools Week

Next week is Catholic Schools Week! Click here for the complete calendar of events; I recommend printing for your fridge so you know what to wear and what to expect each day throughout the week. We are looking forward to a fun week together, celebrating what makes All Saints amazing – our faith, academics, and community!

CSW shirts were sent home yesterday or today. Please check to ensure you got the correct size/type of shirt, and contact me if there are any issues. We know of one student so far that got the wrong type of shirt, so we know there must be a match elsewhere.

Science Fair

Today our 7th grade students participated in the annual Science Fair! They all did a wonderful job, and we are very proud of their hard work these last few months. Their awards will be presented later this afternoon. We will also be selecting 8 students to represent All Saints at the regional fair in March. I will share those results in next week’s Saints Speak. Congratulations to all our 7th grade students on a job well done!

Reminder: Diocesan Survey

On Tuesday, you should have received an email with the link to the Diocese of Joliet School Effectiveness Survey. Both parents/guardians received the email, but only one survey can be completed per household. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey before it closes on January 31st. We are grateful for your feedback, as it helps us continue to improve our school and strengthen our community.
