Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 5/20/2021 - Congratulations to the Class of 2021
Tomorrow, we celebrate the graduation of our All Saints Catholic Academy Class of 2021! I have greatly enjoyed getting to know these students, especially through the end of year events these last few days. They had their Awards Ceremony Friday, and yesterday we spent the day downtown for Bueller Day, the 8th grade class trip. Tomorrow, after their graduation rehearsal, we will have the traditional “Clap Out” and photo opportunity as they exit the building for the last time as All Saints students. This class is truly an excellent group of young men and women, and we will miss their leadership!
The graduation mass and ceremony will be held at 7pm tomorrow (Friday) evening. If you would like to join us virtually, you can view the livestream here: https://youtu.be/pY8a2weNQvQ .
8th grade families, please note that tomorrow morning students do not need to arrive until 8:30am and will dismiss after the 10:30am Clap Out. They can be out of uniform. If students have siblings at other grades, they are welcome to come before 8:30am with their siblings.
Tomorrow is also the last day of school for our littlest students in our preschool and kindergarten classes. We wish them a wonderful summer and look forward to welcoming them back in August for another great year of learning and growing together.
For 1st-7th grade, we are in the home stretch with just 6 days of school remaining! Next Wednesday, May 26th, will be Field Day. Students may be out of uniform on this day; Mr. Lindgren is planning fun, COVID-safe games and activities for these students.
Next Friday, May 28th, is our final day of the 20-21 school year. We will have mass together at 8:15am, and then report cards will be distributed and students will dismiss at 9:30am. There will be no after care on this day. Click here for the mass livestream. This is a dress up day for students; they should wear dress clothes appropriate for mass. For boys, we recommend nice shorts or pants with a collared shirt. For girls, we recommend a dress, skirt, or nice pants. No jeans, leggings, or short shorts.
If you have any questions or concerns after viewing your child’s final report card next Friday, please contact your child’s teacher or the school office by Friday, June 4th. Once report cards are archived in our system, changes cannot be made.
Congratulations to Luna T. in 3rd grade and Ty H. in 5th grade, whose artwork has been selected to appear in the upcoming crime prevention calendar. Way to go, Luna and Ty!
For Thankful Thursday this week, we would like to recognize Janet Simpson, a 2020 DDA sponsor. We thank her and all our sponsors for their continued support of All Saints!
With all of the excitement here this week regarding 8th grade graduation, I forgot to announce the Saintly Acts this morning! I will announce them tomorrow morning for the students and will recognize all of this week and next week’s Saintly Acts in Saints Speak next Thursday.
Warm regards,
Margie Marshall
