Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 4/14/2022 - Holy Week Happenings
Thank you to our 7th grade students for leading us in a beautiful service this afternoon for the Stations of the Cross. It was a wonderful way to end our week together as we enter the Triduum.
As you prepare for these next few days as a family, I wanted to make sure you are aware of the Holy Week services and Easter Mass times at our supporting parishes. If you have lost touch with your parish home, Easter is a great time to reconnect! If you are searching for a new parish to call home, consider visiting one of our supporting parishes for mass this weekend! Wherever you are gathering on Sunday, know that your family is in my prayers this Easter.
Our Lady of Mercy Parish is hosting a Green Fair for this year’s Earth Day! The Fair is a free event on Saturday, April 23rd, 9am-3pm. There will be lots of organizations, displays, and important information on how to be a greener household, community, and world. They are in need of volunteers for this event! Click here to sign up and share your time with one of our ASCA parishes.
As a reminder, please make sure that all absences are reported to our attendance desk by calling 630-961-6125 x 121 or emailing attendance@ascacademy.org by 8:30am. We always encourage you to also inform your child’s homeroom teacher, but informing the attendance desk directly helps us make sure all students are accounted for each day. Thank you!
One of our very own 4th graders, James Budd, recently earned two great academic honors for his hard work in mathematics both in and outside of school. James competed in the Illinois Math League contest at the 6th grade level earlier this year. He earned 1st place not just at All Saints but among all students who did the contest from 40 schools throughout the state! James also recently competed in the AMC8, a math contest typically involving 8th grade students. James made the Achievement Roll and Honor Roll, scoring in the top 5% of the over 60,000 test-takers nationwide. He was one of only 20 students in Illinois to earn this recognition. Congratulations!
