Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 10/31/2024 - Spread the Word of God Throughout the World
I’m sending Saints Speak a little earlier today as I expect you’ll be busy this afternoon with Halloween fun! The day is already off to a great start here. We look forward to seeing many of you this afternoon for our Kdg-5th grade costumer parade (2pm on the recess pad) followed by the class parties.
Our saint for the week is St. John Paul II. The students actually got a preview of St. John Paul II at our Mass last Friday in Fr. Michael’s homily! St. John Paul II was pope for nearly 27 years, from 1976 to 2005, one of the longest pontificates in Church history. During his papacy he canonized 480 saints and made it clear that we are all called to holiness and saintly lives. He also believed in spreading the word of God throughout the world, visiting 129 countries during his papacy and developing World Youth Day to bring young people together to celebrate their faith.
In preparation for All Saints Day tomorrow and in honor of the life of St. John Paul II, spend some time thinking about and praying to your favorite saint, remembering the examples provided by the saints who have gone before us as well as our own personal calls to sainthood.
Day of Giving
Tomorrow, in addition to celebrating Mass and our Feast Day, we are also celebrating our 4th Annual Day of Giving! At All Saints Catholic Academy, our mission is to create saints and scholars, forming young people who will be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in our world. The All Saints Day of Giving is an opportunity to celebrate the great work our school is doing in pursuit of this goal and recognizing all who make it possible – the students, teachers, parents, alumni, and friends who give their time, talent, and treasure in support of our school community.
Please prayerfully consider contributing to the Day of Giving tomorrow. Help us reach our goal of raising $15,000 in support of this important mission. Each gift matters, and together we can make a tremendous impact. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
