Saints Strong Virtual Celebration - ASCA's Biggest Event of the Year!

This Saturday is the Saints Strong Virtual Celebration! It’s not too late to sign up for a fun night of virtual trivia, auction items, and raffles!  If you can’t join us for the festivities, you can still register and bid on auction items. Silent Auction items will be available for preview tomorrow at 5pm, and bidding will open at 6pm Saturday evening. Click here for tickets and more information.

At All Saints, we pride ourselves on providing an excellent, well-rounded academic program for our students in preschool through 8th grade. We measure our success by the success of our students as they graduate from All Saints, attend the high schools of their choice, and continue to thrive in honors and accelerated courses as they prepare for college and beyond. There are many factors to which we can credit this: a nurturing learning environment, knowledgeable and experienced faculty, and a rigorous curriculum are just a few.

One of the most important factors attributing to our success is a focus on continuous improvement. At All Saints, we are always looking forward, refusing to become complacent. We regularly evaluate our curricular resources, facilities, and instructional methods to ensure we are implementing best practices and providing our students with the most effective instruction possible. These internal evaluations help us focus our improvement efforts and identify our fundraising priorities.

This year, our “Call for Cash” fundraising focus will be the creation of a STEAM Lab and implementation of a STEAM program at All Saints Catholic Academy.

STEAM offers an interdisciplinary approach to teaching science, technology, engineering, art, and math. STEAM curricula center on 21st century learning skills such as exploration, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration. The STEAM lab facilities will include hardware, software, scientific and media equipment, hands-on student kits, and flexible furniture systems. The curriculum presents students with tasks and challenges in a variety of STEAM disciplines, including mechanics, computer graphics, publishing, robotics, and more. Instruction focuses on the process rather than the final product, teaching students that failure is a valuable learning experience.

Several years ago, former US Secretary of Education Richard Riley said, “We are currently preparing students for jobs that don’t yet exist, using technologies that haven’t been invented, in order to solve problems we don’t even know are problems yet.” This is true now more than ever. STEAM professions continue to grow, as does the need for individuals who can collaborate, create, and adapt. This program will equip our students with the skills they need to prosper in the modern world and prepare them for a bright future.

We hope to raise $50,000 with Saturday’s “Call for Cash.” No contribution is too small, as every dollar raised brings us closer to our goal. Thank you in advance for your generous support of this important initiative!

THANK YOU to the fantastic team of parents, led by Katy Maurer and Cristine Shaw, who have made this event possible. They have spent countless hours planning, preparing, and reimagining this event to comply with COVID restrictions. I am so grateful for their dedication to All Saints and the SSVC!
