Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 2/10/2022 - Warmer Weather Ahead
We have been blessed with some slightly warmer weather this week and have enjoyed several days of outdoor recess! It has been so nice to get some fresh air and has helped everyone be more focused on learning in the afternoon. Please remember to keep sending your child with winter gear each day.
Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and respectful dialogue as we have worked through the changing mask policies these last few days. The current Diocesan policy states that masks are recommended but not required in the school building for all students, staff, and visitors. This applies to all events in the building, including our weekly school masses and athletics. Please continue to reach out with your questions, and I will do my best to answer them or contact the diocese to find the answer. We expect to receive a “Frequently Asked Questions” document from the Diocese soon to provide some clarification on the new policy.

In art class with Mrs. Breunig, students in many grades are art and artists from Africa to celebrate Black History Month. A few of the projects the students are creating include African Drums and Dancers and the beautiful pattern that decorates African clothing and Drums (PK); Mud Huts, African Houses built by the Ndebele tribe of South Africa (Kdg); Portraits of an African Zebra (1st); Kente Cloth, an African Textile that is woven with geometric repeating shapes (2nd); Mud Cloths, a painting with mud on canvas (3rd); and Charcoal Drawings of African animals similar to African artist Joseph Thiongo (7th). We look forward to seeing this beautiful artwork decorating our school soon!
