Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 1/27/2022 - Science Fair and Beyond
I’m sending Saints Speak a little earlier today, as this afternoon we’ll be busy with the 7th grade Science Fair! Thank you to the many parents and friends of ASCA who have volunteered to help judge the projects this afternoon. Congratulations to all our 7th graders on their hard work. We will share an update on Science Fair results next week.
Sunday begins one of the most important (and fun!) weeks of our school year – Catholic Schools Week! Please join me in praying for All Saints and all our Catholic Schools:
Almighty Father,
You sent forth your Son as a beacon of hope for all people.
As Teacher, He has given us the prime example of the importance of education.
As disciples, we look to Him for inspiration and strength.
Thank you for the many sisters, brothers, priests, and laypeople who have dedicated their lives in service to our Catholic schools.
Thank you for the teachers and administrators who sustain our schools today.
Thank you for the parents who have given support and witness to the importance of Catholic education in their daily lives.
Thank you for the students who work hard to further their education.
Bless All Saints Catholic Academy and the many people who advance our mission.
May our building be a home for those who seek to grow in faith, knowledge, and service of others.
May our community always support one another and exhibit hospitality to newcomers.
Fill our minds with knowledge and wisdom.
May our understanding of the world help us to grow in appreciation for it.
Fill our hearts with gladness.
May we always turn to you in times of need.
Fill our hands with the tools we need to serve others.
May we show them your unceasing love through our actions.
Amen.
On Sunday, show your pride in YOUR Catholic school by wearing spirit wear or your uniform to mass! Click here for details on what to expect this week for out of uniform days, celebrations, and giveaways. Please note that Wednesday, February 2nd, is not our usual “Spirit Wear Wednesday.” Students will be in uniform Wednesday UNLESS they wear the special 2022 Catholic Schools Week t-shirt! T-shirt orders closed yesterday, but the Class of 2022 still has some shirts available and will continue accepting orders today and tomorrow. Click here to order yours today so you can be out of uniform an extra day next week!
We would also like to recognize and congratulate our many junior high students who have earned a place on the Second Quarter Honor Roll! We are proud of their efforts and achievement throughout the quarter. Certificates will be distributed next week.
Congratulations to Mrs. Kowalczyk and her husband, who have welcomed two beautiful baby girls to the world! Mom and daughters are all are doing well. Please continue to keep the Kowalczyk family in your prayers. Mrs. Long, our Tech Coordinator, is teaching STEAM for the remainder of the week. Next week we will update all parents on the long-term substitute plan.
Lastly, I’d like to recognize the students who earned Saintly Acts this week: Simone D. (1st grade), Maddie S. (7th grade), Tallula M. (5th grade), Samantha C. (5th grade), Audrey M. (7th grade), Luca R. (1st grade), Uriel C. (1st grade), Mateo D. (1st grade), Maeve F. (2nd grade), Gavin F. (5th grade), Mary Virginia D. (4th grade), Luke B. (8th grade), Mikey P.
