Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 12/22/2022 - Merry Christmas
In place of a quote from Pope Francis today, I’d like to share a Christmas prayer. Consider saying this prayer with your family on Christmas Day! You will all be in my prayers on Christmas as well.
Loving God, during this holy season of Christmas we ask for your blessing on all our families.
Let Mary’s openness to your wondrous ways be an inspiration to place all trust in you.
Let Joseph’s courage provide hope during times of anxiety and uncertainty.
Let Jesus’s life ignite all families with a spirit of light and love. May the grade that encircled the Holy Family widen to embrace all families.
Amen.
The teachers, administrative team, and I have been so touched by the incredible generosity you have shown us these last few weeks. Thank you to all who sent Christmas gifts, contributed to the ASPA collection, and stocked our lounge with delicious treats. We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity this holiday season and always. It is an honor to work with your children and to partner with you in their education. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
We have really enjoyed these last few days together at school as we prepare for Christmas! The students did a great job in their Christmas concerts last Thursday and in yesterday’s preschool concert. Thank you to Ms. Sipll and the classroom teachers for preparing them! We had some amazingly “ugly” sweaters in our hallways on Tuesday as well. Congrats to our Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest winners: Monroe M. (Kdg), Isla V. (1st grade), Sergio M. (2nd grade), Parker J. (3rd grade), Mark T. (4th grade), Mary D. (5th grade), Caitlin M. (6th grade), Derek L. (7th grade), and Ivana D. (8th grade). Parker was the schoolwide winner and got an out of uniform pass in addition to his medal!
This morning we hung our final Jesse Tree ornament; we learned a lot about Jesus’ family tree with our daily Scripture readings over the last four weeks. The students have really enjoyed their class parties today! Thank you, parents, for your flexibility with the time change. We are so happy we can still have our parties and ensure all students and staff get home safely.
There will not be a Saints Speak over the break. Classes resume on Monday, January 9th, and the next Saints Speak will be Thursday, January 12th. Make sure you have your calendars are marked for no school on Friday, January 13th, for staff development.
Congratulations to the following students who earned Saintly Acts recently: Colin M. (8th grade), Carlos C. (8th grade), Alex G. (8th grade), 2A and 2B girls, Riley M. (2nd grade), Mary D. (5th grade), Billy M. (5th grade), Zoey M. (5th grade), Krystian M. (5th grade), Graham E. (1st grade), Evan B. (5th grade), Jackson F. (4th grade), and Leo K. (4th grade). Keep being saintly!
Have a very Merry Christmas and a safe and relaxing break. We look forward to seeing you in 2023!
Warm regards,
Margie Marshall
