Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 10/14/2021 - It Takes a Village

It’s nice to see the sun shining outside after a gloomy few days! As the days get shorter and cooler, they also get busier here at All Saints! Hopefully you saw two important emails that were sent to all parents yesterday.

The first email was about Parent-Teacher Conferences, scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 4th. Sign-ups went live via SchoolSpeak yesterday; please log in to your SchoolSpeak account to sign up. The sign-up links can be found in Quick Links under your child’s grade level menu on the left side. You may need to scroll a bit to see this option.

The second email was announcing the kick off of our annual Boosterthon! Tonight’s challenge is to go online and register your child. Everyone who registers tonight on mybooster.com (or is already registered) will receive an Out of Uniform Pass. We have already collected over $9,000 in pledges and are on our way to meeting our goal. Thanks for supporting All Saints with this great event!

As the saying goes, "it takes a village," and we know the involvement of each of our school families is essential. Please consider getting involved with one of these upcoming volunteer opportunities.

  • Do you have a flexible work schedule? Consider helping with lunch or recess one day a week! Having adequate volunteers ensures our children are properly supervised while still allowing our teachers to take a well-deserved lunch break as they prepare for the afternoon. Click here to sign up, or contact Cristine Shaw ( cshaw@ascacademy.org ) for more information.

  • We had our first DDA planning meeting last night! We are blessed to have Anne Soto and Jackie Hasse leading this important fundraising event, and thank you to the many parents who have already stepped up to help! While the DDA planning is historically led by our 5th grade parents, we invite ALL parents to help however they can. If you would like to get involved, please reach out to Anne Soto (anneponcesoto@gmail.com) or Jackie Hasse (jaks11@yahoo.com).

  • We need volunteers to help with the Boosterthon Run with the Saints on Friday, October 22nd! If you’d like to help on this day (during the school day), please contact Amy Bono (amybono@yahoo.com).

  • Looking for a more consistent, long-term role? We have several committees of the School Board that may be of interest! Click here for more information on our various School Board committees and how you can get involved.

Lastly, I’d like to recognize our students who received Saintly Acts over the last two weeks. Congratulations and thank you to Ella D. (6th grade), Ty H. (6th grade), August W. (2nd grade), Sapphire R. (4th grade), Evan B. (4th grade), Ashley S. (5th grade), Huntyr F. (3rd grade), Hannah N. (7th grade), Chase D. (6th grade), Camden K. (Kdg), Jackson F. (3rd grade), Robin K. (1st grade), Sloan H. (1st grade), Alexa L. (1st grade), and Mateo D. (1st grade). Keep being Saintly!

Warm regards,

Margie Marshall
