Saints Speak – 5/25/2018 – Sending Forth
This evening at 7 pm, our 8th grade students will be graduating from All Saints Catholic Academy. For the students, soon to be ASCA alumni in a few short hours, this past week has been filled with activities, celebrations, but most of all, opportunities to connect and to create life lasting memories of their time at All Saints. I invite you to visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/allsaintsnaper/ to catch a glimpse of but a few of these highlights.
However long these young men and women have been students at this school – for a few it was only one year, for others, their entire lives since preschool or kindergarten - tonight they leave our school as members of the graduating Class of 2018. To take a trip down memory lane, check out the final installment of the ASCA Now News at https://youtu.be/iLb29Nae8A4. Forever joined together on a composite photo that will hang in our hallway, linked via a common passage of time. We claim these graduates as our own.
At graduation, they will be receiving diplomas that signify that they have successfully completed their studies at All Saints. I hope that they will look back on their time at All Saints Catholic Academy with gratitude for the fine education and preparation that they received as they enter the next phase of their academic journeys. I pray that they continue to grow in the virtues that we have lovingly worked to instill in them, that their kind and compassionate hands and hearts will serve others as instruments of God.
While they may be a little bit uncertain and even apprehensive about leaving the comfort and security of All Saints for the future, they are ready to leave. I am excited for them and the next chapters of their lives that are soon to be written. My wish is that they always feel a part of our All Saints Catholic Academy family; that they will always call this place ‘home’.
It is with great pride that I extend a warm welcome to each of you to join us tonight as we send forth the Class of 2018.
