Saints Speak – 1/30/2020 – Friendship

This week, we have celebrated our All Saints school community during Catholic Schools Week (CSW).  It kicked off with our Open House this past Sunday afternoon. 

I would like to thank everyone who helped to make this event such a great success – parents, students, and staff.  We welcomed many new families who were taking a look at All Saints, and a bunch of current families who came to visit their current and future classrooms.  We even had a few visitors from our sponsoring and supporting parishes, along with the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest in our gym.

Now that our open house is over, we have opened up registration to all for the 2020-2021 school year.  Registrations from new school families along with new siblings of current students have been coming in each day. 

The deadline for re-enrollment of current students is tomorrow, January 31, 2020.  Thank you to the families who have responded to date.  A follow up SchoolSpeak email reminder will be sent this afternoon to all current school families who have not yet responded whether their student will be returning.  Please take the time today or tomorrow to click on the link in this email to inform the school about next year’s enrollment of your child(ren). 

• The re-enrollment fee for families who respond by the January 31 deadline is $200 (per family).
• Families who respond that they will be returning after tomorrow’s deadline will pay a $250 re-enrollment fee (per family).   Please note that we cannot hold spots for students who have not completed the re-enrollment process.

Fun Fair 2020 – Tomorrow, Friday, January 31

Speaking of Fun Fair, I hope that you are planning on attending this year’s Fun Fair, which takes place at All Saints tomorrow evening, Friday, January 31 beginning at 5:30 pm for our youngest saints (preschool and kindergarten), welcoming all others from 6 – 8 pm.   ASCA will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland!

This event is SO much fun, jam packed with all kind of activities for the entire family to enjoy.    Click here to purchase your wristbands online.   The discounted wristband price is only available through 4 pm today, Thursday, January 30.

After School Care

The afternoon dismissal at All Saints begins at 3:30 pm for K-8 students.  We give parents and caregivers 15 minutes to come to pick up their child(ren), until 3:45 pm.  At 3:45 pm, students who have not been picked up are taken to after school care, which is provided by RLS Tutoring, Inc.  Our school staff is obligated to work until 3:45 pm.  They are not expected to care for their students after that time.  RLS Tutoring, Inc. has experienced staff who are here at ASCA to keep your child safe from 3:45 pm until the time you arrive to pick up your student.     

There is a cost associated with after school care which is expected to be paid by the families who are using it.   Unfortunately, there are a number of school families who have used the service, and been billed for the service, but who have not paid their bill, which is now past due.   

If you are one of those school families, please take care of this obligation as soon as possible.  We want RLS Tutoring Inc. to continue to provide these important services to all of our school families.

RLS plans to bill All Saints for the families who have not paid after school care bills.  If this happens, ASCA will bill these charges to families via their FACTS accounts.  If these charges still remain unpaid, the following actions may result:

• re-enrollment will be frozen for students who are returning for the 2020-2021 school year.
• a student will not be allowed to participate in graduation.
• student records will not be transferred for students who are not returning for the 2020-2021 school year.
• accounts may be turned over to collections.

2020-2021 Financial Aid Applications  

Please do not wait if you are interested in applying for financial assistance for the 2020-2021 school year.  Click here to start your FACTS application (must be completed by all families seeking assistance).  All applications and supporting information must be completed by Monday, March 2, 2020 for consideration.   This is a hard deadline for funding consideration.

Eucharistic Adoration

Please join us this coming Wednesday, February 5, as the All Saints school community will celebrate Eucharistic Adoration in our Chapel beginning after mass (around 9:15 am) until 3 pm.  Sign up will be available at the Welcome Desk.   A HUGE Thank You to ASPA, our All Saints Parents Association, for our beautiful new seating in the chapel.  Please stop by to see the pews; and spend some time with our Lord.

Daddy Daughter Dance Meeting

Is your daughter excited for the Daddy Daughter Dance this spring? Help make her special night come true by joining the Daddy Daughter Dance Committee!  The committee will be meeting at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, February 4th in the conference room.  Those attending should enter the building through Door #1.

If you haven’t tried Scrip yet, this is a good week to start. Nothing Bundt Cakes – Class of 2020 Legacy Gift Fundraiser

The Class of 2020 is raising money to help fund their 8th Grade Legacy Gift. If you aren’t familiar with Nothing Bundt Cakes, they are luscious concoctions of premium ingredients including fresh eggs, real butter, and delicious cream cheese frosting!  What a great treat for a loved one (or yourself)

The order deadline is Thursday, February 6.  Hard copies of the order form have been sent home with youngest and only students.  Click here for the order form.  The cakes will be available for pick up on Thursday, February 13th...just in time for your Valentine’s Day celebrations, and yummy treats for all.
