Saints Speak – 11/6/2019 – Fall Conference Celebration
Tomorrow, Thursday, November 7, our staff will be celebrating fall conferences with the parents of our students. We are all invested in the success of our students; and each one of ‘our children’ have an abundance of gifts to acknowledge and share.
Let us all look forward to discussing one of our mutual favorite subjects – our students!
- Preschool through Grade 5 conferences were scheduled online. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions about the time you selected, if you need to make a change, or if you still would like to schedule a conference.
- Junior high (grade 6 – 8) and specials teachers (gym, art and music) will have tables in the gym. No appointments are necessary to speak with the junior high/specials teachers.
How does this work? Families can choose which junior high/specials teachers they wish to meet with, and head to their designated areas of the school gym. Conferences will be 5 minutes in length; and will be on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. This will give parents the opportunity to meet with each teacher their child has if they so choose, or just a few based on their child’s classroom performance.
Important Information for all families:
- If you find that you require more time to complete your conference, we ask that you schedule an additional conference at a later time out of respect to the other parents who are waiting.
- There will be no conferences during the 5 – 6 pm dinner break.
- Childcare will be provided in Café 1 during your conference time by Student Voices.
2019 Giving Tree
Did you know that every year our ASCA teachers and staff members spend at least $500 of their own money on classroom and office supplies for our children? This year, we would like to help alleviate some of these costs via a Giving Tree. ASPA has asked every teacher and staff member to submit three wish list items. Please look for the Giving Tree at the Welcome Desk during Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday, November 7th.
How does it work?
• Simply take a wish list item leaf (or two) from the Giving Tree.
• Purchase the items.
• Have your child/children bring everything to school the following week. In the case of larger items, please contact the teacher or staff member
Our goal is to have every leaf gone by the last conference on Thursday, November 7th.
Thank you for your generosity and thoughtfulness. We couldn’t do this without your help! Any questions? Email Kristy Wagester at k_reith@yahoo.com.

Lost and Found Table
Please take a look at our Lost and Found tables located near the Welcome Desk at Door 1. You just might be surprised what you find. Additionally, there are some donated uniforms that are ‘free for the taking’.
Boosterthon Thank You
Boosterthon pledging is officially closed. We ended with a profit of $18,577. We came so close to our goal, almost 93% of the way there; and are so grateful for the participation of so many families. Similar to last year, 81% of students registered, with 74% receiving pledges.
A huge thank you to all the participants, donors, and volunteers. We couldn’t do this without your support!
