Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 4/8/2021 - Making All Things New

Happy Easter! As Fr. Don reminded us at our school mass yesterday, Sunday was the beginning of the Easter celebration, which lasts for 50 days and concludes with Pentecost. Other than Ordinary Time, the Easter season is the longest in the liturgical calendar. It is a time of joy and a celebration of new life. As we see new life blossoming around us and enjoy more daylight, we are reminded of our own spiritual journey and transformation. We must let go of the old so that we can be made new; this transformation of our hearts is at the center of the season. Let us continue to keep one another in our prayers throughout these fifty days of Easter.

I hope these first few days back at school have gone well for everyone! After a restful and relaxing break, we are ready to enter the “home stretch” of the school year. The weather earlier this week made us all feel that summer is near, and it’s important during this time that we stay focused and continue to make learning a priority.

As we all enjoy the nicer weather, we will allow shorts to be worn on out of uniform days throughout the month of April. Uniform shorts and gym shoes will be allowed beginning Monday, May 3. As you use up any remaining out of uniform passes before they expire, remember that on mass days (Wednesdays) all students must be in perfect uniform.

Planning for the 2021-2022 school year continues! The 2021-2022 school calendar is being finalized; we will share the calendar with all families as soon as possible and will continue to share updates for next year in the coming weeks. As always, our planning efforts focus on keeping our students safe and providing excellent instruction within a Christ-centered learning environment.

In case you missed it, in Saints Speak right before break I asked you to consider your role in the All Saints community and whether you are being called to serve in a more official capacity, as a School Board or Committee member. Click here for more information.

As you saw in the most recent weekly reminders from Mrs. Bajek, on April 15 all returning families will be charged $250, to be applied to your family’s 21-22 tuition. This non-refundable payment is required to secure your child(ren)’s spot(s) for next school year. Families who do not pay by the invoice date (10 days after billing) will forfeit their spot. We do have a waiting list at several grade levels currently, so please make sure you make this payment on time.

For Thankful Thursday this week, we would like to recognize Caputo Dental and Clingen Callow & McLean, LLC. Both have been past DDA sponsors, and we thank them for their continued support of All Saints!

Lastly, I’d like to recognize the following students who received Saintly Acts this week: Mark T. (2nd grade), Jonathan T. (2nd grade), Josie N. (Kdg), Andrew B. (Kdg), Ben J. (Kdg), Skyler V. (Kdg), Morgan W. (Kdg), Simone D. (Kdg), Rylee R. (2nd grade), Ryan C. (5th grade), Lilly H. (4th grade), Paris V. (4th grade), Natalie S. (4th grade), Kaylee W. (4th grade), Laila G. (4th grade), Danny S. (3rd grade), Brady R. (3rd grade), Jessie H. (7th grade), and Jocelyn J. (5th grade). Keep being Saintly!

Warm regards,

Margie Marshall
