Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 4/30/2026 - The Key to Finding True Peace

Our saint this week is St. Dominic Savio, and our holy habit is peacemaking. St. Dominic lived in Italy in the mid 1800s. He lived a short life, dying from illness at only fifteen years old. However, in that short time, he became known as a peacemaker. He often helped his classmates resolve disagreements and found ways to bring people together. St. Dominic saw Jesus in each person, seeing the good and finding ways to unite instead of separate. Our world so often focuses on difference, rather than unity. St. Dominic reminds us that we are all children of God, and when we focus on that rather than our differences we can find true peace.

Class of 2026

The All Saints Catholic Academy Class of 2026 will graduate in just three weeks! The month of May is full of exciting end of year activities for them, beginning with their Ribbon Mass tomorrow. Please keep these students in your prayers as they prepare for their All Saints graduation and enjoy this time together before heading off to high school!

Science Fair

Last weekend, seven of our students competed at the State Science Fair at Southern Illinois University, and they did a fantastic job! Congratulations to each of them on their awards:

  • Edison Leonard – Gold AND the EPIC Award (Exceptional Project in Physics)
  • Zachary Ling – Gold
  • Nico Martinez – Gold
  • Owen Smith – Silver
  • Tyler Tomeczko – Gold AND Thermo Fischer Nominee, which is awarded to the top 10% of middle school science fair projects in the country!

Since tomorrow’s Mass is focused on our 8th graders, we will recognize these students at Mass next Friday, May 8th. Way to go, Saints!
