Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 10/5/2023 - Striving for Solidarity
Parent-Teacher Conferences are already off to a great start this morning. Thank you to each of you for making the time to meet with your child’s teachers and partner with us in their education this year!
Take a few minutes to reflect on today’s message from Pope Francis:
“Too often we participate in the globalization of indifference. May we strive instead to live global solidarity.”
I agree with Pope Francis that it’s almost too easy today to think selfishly and express indifference toward things that don’t impact us directly. We look out for ourselves, our family, and even our school, church, and local communities, but we often forget that we are also part of the global community. We are all part of humankind and part of God’s creation. May we remember this and show solidarity for others even when it doesn’t directly benefit us.
Library & Broadcast Studio Update
We are excited to share that library classes will resume next week! Mrs. Galise and Ms. Sipll have done an amazing job transforming our space and we cannot wait to welcome students back into the library next week.
The broadcast studio has been installed, and we are just waiting on the permit to install the sprinkler head in the space. We hope to have this up and running soon as well!
MAP & IOWA Test Update
Fall standardized testing is all complete! Our faculty spent yesterday afternoon’s early release time reviewing MAP data and discussing in teams how we can best support each child moving forward. MAP scores will be coming home by the end of next week. We will be reviewing IOWA scores at our next faculty meeting and will share those results with you as soon as we have a chance to review. If you have any questions about your child’s test results, please contact your classroom teachers and we are happy to help!

ASCA Wins!
Thank you to all who voted for All Saints in the social media contest hosted by Comfort Services Heating & Air Conditioning! We have won for the third year in a row and will be receiving a $1,000 donation from Comfort Services, which is owned and operated by the Dbila family (Brandon-Class of 2016 and Adam-Class of 2020). We are grateful for their continued support of All Saints and to each of you who went online and voted for us!
Saintly Acts
We did not announce Saintly Acts this week due to the shortened week. We will recognize two weeks’ worth of Saintly Acts next Thursday!
Have a great long weekend!
