Saints Speak - 3/23/2023 - Caring for God's Creation (and one another)

Please take a few minutes to reflect on today’s quote from Pope Francis:

“Nurturing and cherishing creation is a command God gives not only at the beginning of history, but to each of us. It is part of his plan; it means causing the world to grow responsibly, transforming it so that it may be a garden, a habitable place for everyone.”

What a fitting quote today during the first official week of spring! In the coming weeks, we will see God’s creation flourish around us as we watch trees grow and flowers bloom. May we each do our part to care for our environment so it can continue to provide for generations to come, and may the love of grow in each one of us as we prepare for Easter.

Lent

This week, we want all of our families to take a virtual vacation to Jesus’ homeland. While you may be traveling to other parts of the world for spring break, do not forget to visit Jerusalem. Use this link to visit virtually!

Please also mark your calendars for our family Stations of the Cross service on Wednesday, April 5th at 6:30pm in the gym. We look forward to praying together as a school community!

DDA Update

Last weekend’s DDA was such an incredible event! Thank you to everyone who joined us for the evening or supported us from afar. The teachers and I are humbled and honored by the generosity shown through the Fund A Need in support of teacher salary supplements. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! We will share a more detailed financial report from the event after spring break, but all preliminary estimates are showing that we had a very successful night in support of our amazing school!

Second Trimester Honor Roll

With all of the excitement for DDA last week, I forgot to share the Second Trimester Honor Roll list! Please click here to see the list of junior high students who earned a place on the Honor Roll for the second trimester. Congratulations to these students on their accomplishments and to all our students on their hard work throughout the trimester!

Family Referral Program

When current school families refer new school families to ASCA, we would like to say thank you with a New Family Referral Credit. If you are:

  • a family new to ASCA this 2022-2023 school year,
  • you have been enrolled for the first two trimesters of this school year, and
  • another school family recommended All Saints to you or positively influenced you to enroll your student(s) at ASCA this year,

Please let us know more about the referring family by clicking here to fill out a short form. The family who impacted your enrollment decision may be eligible for a referral credit of $250 toward their Family Fundraising Obligation (FFO).

Please contact Patty Bajek at pbajek@ascacademy.org with any questions. Thank you!

Volunteers Needed

Hearing and vision screenings will take place at All Saints on Thursday, April 13th, and Wednesday, May 3rd, for students in qualifying grade levels. We are looking for volunteers both mornings to assist with bringing students back and forth from classrooms to the screenings. If you are able to help out, please contact Mrs. Fuller at sfuller@ascacademy.org. Thank you!
