Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 11/18/2021 - Winter is Just Around the Corner

While the warmer days this week were a pleasant surprise, today we can’t deny that winter is just around the corner! Please make sure that your child is coming to school each day dressed appropriately for the weather. We do go outside for recess as much as possible, so send your child with a warm coat, scarf, hat, gloves, etc. When there is snow

Please keep Mrs. Hoeft’s family in your prayers. Her sister Rita passed away last weekend. Please also keep Mrs. Kassl in your prayers as she awaits the arrival of her son!

The Diocese of Joliet has provided us with the average IOWA scores for all students who tested in the Diocese in grades 3-8. Please click here to view these scores.

As the holidays approach, there are two great ways to earn credits for your Family Fundraising Obligation (FFO)! The first is the Christmas Poinsettia Sale. Orders are due tomorrow (Friday, 11/19), so don’t miss this opportunity.  Click here for the flyer.

The second opportunity is SCRIP Physical Gift Cards for the Christmas season! Now is your chance to get some holiday gift shopping done, get a reloadable card, or order from a vendor that only offers physical cards. The limit for physical cards per family order is $500. Waivers (download here) must be completed by Friday, December 3rd, and emailed to scrip@ascacademy.org, or paper copies can be returned to school by noon on Friday, Dec. 3rd.

Place your orders by FRIDAY, December 3rd so your order can be processed. Payment can be made by bank transfer or credit card (no checks will be accepted). Local Orders (Casey’s, Downtown Naperville) cannot be processed at this time. Cards will be sent home in your student's backpack on Friday, December 10. If you have any questions, please contact scrip@ascacademy.org

You can continue to order SCRIP eGift cards and cards that are “Ship to Home Eligible” too, but this is the only chance for physical cards before the holidays. Be sure to download the RaiseRight app if you haven’t already done so.

Next Tuesday, 11/23, is an Out of Uniform Day supporting the 7th grade (Class of 2023). If you didn’t purchase the Out of Uniform Fundraiser at the beginning of the year, there’s still time to participate and take advantage of the remaining 5 days for only $25. Click here for the flyer.

I’d like to recognize our students who have received Saintly Acts this week: Teddy E. (2nd grade), Keisha O. (4th grade), Graham M. (4th grade), Matthew S. (6th grade), Gavin B. (6th grade), Cody G. (6th grade), Katie H. (4th grade), Hasan Q. (4th grade), McKenna S. (4th grade), Daniel G. (7th grade), Ben C. (6th grade), Graham E. (Kdg), Luke V. (3rd grade), Graham H. (3rd grade), Noah H. (Kdg), and Evelyn G. (Kdg). Keep being Saintly!

There will be no Saints Speak next week, as we are only at school Monday and Tuesday and then off the rest of the week. Have a safe, restful holiday with your families and loved ones. As you give thanks for the many blessings in your lives, know that All Saints is thankful for YOU, too!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Margie Marshall
