Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 5/5/2022 - Honoring Our Moms

As we begin the month of May and especially get ready for this weekend, we think about our mothers. Thank you, moms, for all you do! Throughout the month of May we celebrate our Mother in Heaven, Mary. Below is a prayer to Mary for all mothers. Happy Mother's Day!

Mary, on this day when we honor all mothers, we turn to you. We thank the Lord whom you serve for the great gift of motherhood. Never has it been known that anyone who sought your intercession was left unaided by grace. Dear Mother, thank you for your "Yes" to the invitation of the angel which brought heaven to earth and changed human history. You opened yourself to God's word and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.

Dear mother, intercede for all of our mothers. May they find daily strength to say yes to the call for sacrificial love - the very heart of the vocation of motherhood. May their love and witness be a source of great inspiration for all of us called to follow your Son.

Mother of the Word Incarnate, pray for us. In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Please join us on Thursday, May 12th, at 2:30pm for our May Crowning and Living Rosary prayer service, led by our 2nd-4th grade students. All are welcome!

Thank you to all who helped make our teachers feel appreciated this week! We have been so grateful for the beautifully decorated doors, delicious lunches and snacks, thoughtful cards and notes, and extra help at lunch and recess. Thank you to ASPA (and especially to Danielle Bushell, Megan Elberts, and Maggie Walgreen) for organizing this wonderful week to celebrate our amazing faculty!

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. For our May Person of the Month, students will be learning about Yongsung Kim, a Korean artist known for his beautiful paintings of Christ. Our students will share what they have learned about Yongsung Kim at the end of the month.

Attention St. Elizabeth Seton parishioners – we need your help! We are looking for All Saints families to help host Donut Sunday at St. Elizabeth Seton next weekend. Click here for more information on how you can help, or reach out to Meghan Foley at meghancfoley@yahoo.com.

For Thankful Thursday today, we’d like to thank My Chef Catering! My Chef has been a great supporter of All Saints. Check out their website and consider them the next time you’re planning a catered event!
