Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 2/29/2024 - A Little Bit of Mercy
Please take a few minutes to reflect on these words from Pope Francis:
“A little bit of mercy makes the world less cold and more just.”
Today’s message from Pope Francis is simple and straightforward. We are all sinners; God knows that and still chooses to love us unconditionally and show us mercy when we sin. Now, he is asking us to let go of our grudges, let go of the anger and hurt we carry around, and show mercy for those around us. While easier said than done, what a powerful message this is to hold in our hearts this Lenten season!
Second Trimester Report Cards
Second Trimester Report Cards are going home with all students today. The report card is yours to keep, but please sign and return the envelope to your child’s homeroom teacher on Monday.
Fundraising Update
As we begin our third trimester, I wanted to share an update on our fundraising activities from the first two-thirds of the school year. As you know, there are multiple fundraising opportunities throughout the year. We appreciate all you do to support our school in various ways. Our fundraisers go directly to benefit the students of All Saints, allowing us to provide excellent education while keeping tuition affordable.
Our Fundraising Committee created this infographic to help families better understand where your fundraising dollars go. They also created this Fundraising Calendar, which we update throughout the year. While each family must meet their Family Fundraising Obligation (FFO), all specific fundraisers are optional. We know families have different interests and different means, and we are grateful to each and every one of you for giving in the way you are able!
Masquerade Gala – 19th Annual DDA
Speaking of fundraising, it’s not too late to get your ticket to the DDA! The night will be full of great people, amazing raffle and auction items, fantastic food and drink, all while supporting the most important cause – our children! Purchase your ticket by Sunday to join us for our biggest fundraising (and FUN-raising) event of the year!
Athletics
All Saints basketball teams did a fantastic job in last weekend’s playoff games! Three teams are playing in championship games this weekend, and two others are in the semi-finals this weekend and hopefully continuing onto the championships on Sunday. Consider cheering them on at their games if you are available!

Our Catholic Identity & Diversity committee wanted to share a great resource for you to use in the month of March as we approach Easter. Click here for Mary’s Way of the Cross, the Stations of the Cross from Mary’s perspective. These stations are a great prayer resource for adults.
Lastly, on March 21 we will celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Day. We are looking forward to some special activities and learning more about Down Syndrome.
Help Needed
Looking to get involved and volunteer? The Hospitality Committee is looking for a few volunteers to be that welcoming presence on Discovery Day - Science Careers at ASCA this Wednesday, March 6 from 8 AM – 11 AM. If you are interested in volunteering in the morning on this early release day, please email Vinita Ramnani at vramnani08@outlook.com for more information. Thank you!
Birthday Celebrations Reminder
There have been multiple instances recently where students have brought in birthday treats to share with their class at lunch or in the classroom. While we know each child is excited to celebrate his/her special day, and we want to celebrate with them, food treats are not allowed due to allergy concerns. If your child wants to bring in a treat to share with the class to celebrate a birthday, please make sure it is not a food item and that you have enough for each child in the homeroom.
