Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 10/30/2025 - All Saints Day and ASCA Day of Giving

School Masses

As a reminder, we will not have Mass tomorrow. Instead, we will have two Masses next week – Monday, November 3rd, will be our All Saints liturgy, and then Friday, November 7th, will be our usual weekly Mass. If you’d like to join us for one or both, please click here to RSVP and help us print badges in advance.

Halloween

Our students are very excited to celebrate Halloween tomorrow! Please see below for reminders on what to expect for the day. If you are joining us for the PK costume parade at 8:30am in the gym, please click here by noon today to RSVP in advance. You do not need to RSVP for the afternoon K-5 costume parade at 2pm, which is outside on the recess pad.

  • Preschool: Students may come to school in their costumes. Parents are welcome to join us for a costume parade at 8:30 in the gym. Class parties will be 8:45-9:45am.
  • Primary Academy (K-2) & Intermediate Academy (3-5): Students may come to school in their costumes. Students will participate in the Costume Parade at 2pm, and class parties will be at 2:15pm.
  • Junior High Academy (6-8): Student Council is planning a Halloween Social for the afternoon! We WILL allow junior high students to wear costumes this year if they choose! If junior high students prefer, they may wear Halloween colors (black, orange, and purple) in place of costumes.

ALL STUDENTS: Please remember that all costumes must be appropriate for school. No masks that cover the eyes, makeup, weapons, or violent costumes are allowed. (Makeup includes face paint and hair dye – save these things for after school trick-or-treating as they become very messy when worn all day long!) Please make sure your child is able to sit comfortably in a desk and use the bathroom independently in his/her costume.

All Saints Day

In addition to our special All Saints Mass on Monday, we will also have our 5th Annual Day of Giving. On this day, as we remember the saints who went before us and led by example, we also celebrate the saints in the making right here at All Saints Catholic Academy. We are so grateful for the support of each one of you – students, parents, teachers, alumni, and friends of ASCA – who make our school special and aid us in our mission of creating saints and scholars. Please prayerfully consider contributing to the Day of Giving on Monday and showing your support for All Saints Catholic Academy. Click here for more information on how to give as well as all that is made possible by your generosity. Thank you for your consideration!

Book Fair Update

THANK YOU to all who helped make our Book Fair a success last week. We had $14,365 in sales. Thanks especially to Lisa Hajek, Jenn Venta, Carolina Zavala, and their team of volunteers for helping the fair run smoothly. If you missed the Fair, you can click here to make a purchase online. Happy reading!

Fall Athletics Updates

Congratulations to all of our fall athletes on a fantastic season! We are proud of our volleyball players, cross country runners, and flag football players who had a great first season. Congratulations especially to our Boys 7A volleyball team, who beat St. Mary of Gostyn to win the championship last weekend!! We will be celebrating them at our next school pep rally (details TBD). Congrats as well to three of our 8th grade volleyball players who were selected to represent All Saints as part of the All-Conference Team: Melissa Ogoudou, Luna Tabares, and Johann Ybanez. Way to go, Saints!

DDA

Last week, a blue envelope went home with all families with information about this year’s Dinner Dance Auction. This year’s event, the Diamonds & Dreams Gala, will be held on March 14, 2026. Mark your calendars and reserve your babysitters now, as you don’t want to miss it! In addition to attending the event, there are several other ways you can support the DDA, ASCA’s largest annual fundraiser. Click here for an electronic copy of the packet that was sent home for information on how to purchase a Saintly Spot, the Tuition Credit Raffle, and more!

Fall Musical: Newsies Jr.!

In case you haven’t heard, this year’s fall musical is Newsies! Our students have been working hard for weeks to prepare for the shows on November 21 & 22. We hope you’ll all come out to see the show and support the arts at ASCA! Click here for more information or to buy your tickets.

Safe Environment Lessons

Next week, all classes will be completing the Diocese's required safe environment lessons during religion classes. Please click here for more information and to access the opt out form; you only need to return the bottom portion of the letter if you are choosing to "opt out" of the lessons. If you are interested in learning more about this Diocesan-provided program, please click here.
