Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 11/13/2025 - The Holy Habit of Wonder
Our saint this week is St. Kateri Tekakwitha, and we are learning about the holy habit of wonder. St. Kateri, a Native American, had a special appreciation for the nature. There is so much in our world to view with wonder. God’s creation is amazing and awe-inspiring. Have you taken time this week to really appreciate the beauty of creation? If not, spend a few minutes doing so today!
Mass RSVPs
If you plan to join us for Mass tomorrow or next Friday, 11/21, click here to RSVP! We do have Mass on Grandparents Day, but we will not be inviting parents to that Mass due to the number of grandparents who will be attending and space limitations. Thank you for understanding!
End of 1st Trimester
As a reminder, the first trimester ends tomorrow. Report Cards will be sent home next Friday, November 21st. As the trimester comes to a close and we celebrate the accomplishments of the first trimester, we also remind all students that they begin the second trimester with a fresh start! This is a great opportunity to set goals for the coming months. Please take some time to remind your child of expectations for school work, effort, and behavior. We will be reminding them all rules and expectations as well so we can begin the second trimester in a positive way!
Fall Musical: Newsies!
In case you haven’t heard, this year’s fall musical is Newsies! Our students have been working hard for weeks to prepare for the shows on November 21 & 22. We hope you’ll all come out to see the show and support the arts at ASCA! Click here for more information or to buy your tickets.
Attendance Reminder
As we enter the second trimester, please continue to make every effort to bring your child to school each day, as long as they are healthy, and on time. If your child is tardy by more than 5 minutes or returning from an appointment, please remember that you need to walk them up to Door 1 and sign them in at the vestibule. Thank you!
Winter Weather
We got a taste of winter weather earlier this week! Although warmer temperatures are predicted for the next few days, we know the cold will return soon. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather daily, as we do go outside for recess as much as possible. Warm coats, hats, gloves, and scarves are strongly encouraged on cold days. If there is snow on the ground, please send boots and snow pants as well.
Extracurricular Opportunities
Winter sessions of Chess Club and Sticky Fingers Cooking Class are both now accepting registrations. Click here for more information on Chess, and click here for more information on Sticky Fingers!
