Why do you choose to work in a Catholic School?

I love our family community of students, teachers, parents, and adminstrators binded together by our faith and desire for higher learning. Students can see my daily devotion to not only being an educator but as a Christian role model. I especially love when former students/alumni come back and tell how they loved the sense of belonging they had while attending our school. There is truly a "someone always has your back" feeling because we all support each others highs and lows, successes and failures, victories and difficult times through prayer.

What is your favorite thing about ASCA?

The relationships I have made over the past 15 years with my students, parents, and colleagues here at All Saints.

Faith's Law

All Saints follow's Faith's Law, an Illinois law enacted in 2023 to support schools in ensuring the safety of all children while at school. Click here (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vgqVZXY-zNwIjgdNI2UTPpUVc577DKnb/view)  for more information from the Illinois State Board of Education about Faith's Law.

School Accreditation and Recognition

All Saints Catholic Academy is accredited through the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA).

WCEA is a nationally recognized accrediting body that evaluates Catholic schools based on academic quality, Catholic identity, leadership, and long-term sustainability. The achievement affirms the Diocese of Joliet’s and All Saints Catholic Academy's continued commitment to excellence in both education and faith formation and formalizes a process for continuous school improvement.

All Saints Catholic Academy has received 'Recognition' status from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) as a non-public school, and been state recognized since its inception in 2005.  A "recognized school" means that an ISBE appointed team has visited the school to confirm it is following all required laws. The ISBE team looks at school policies, student and staff files, safety records, and other things; a team revisits the school every five years.  Find out more about non-public school recognition at the ISBE site - https://www.isbe.net/nonpublicprograms.
