Camp Rock

Camp ROCK(Reaching Others for Christ’s Kingdom) is an overnight summer camp organized by John Lamperis, who is the Director of Religious Education at Holy Spirit.  This camp experience is for middle school students currently in grades 6 through 8.  The camp dates are June 12 – 15, and August 9 – 12, and will be held at the Dickson Valley Camp and Retreat Center in Newark, IL.  Not only will campers enjoy all of the typical camp activities, such as swimming, canoeing, archery, campfires, hiking, sports, music, skits and crafts; campers will have wonderful opportunities of prayer and worship that will help them to grow closer to Jesus and their Catholic faith.  The Camp Rock informational flyer can be found at the ACSA website, or by going to the following link:  http://www.camprock.me/flier.pdf.  Contact John at (630) 846-0688, or john@camprock.me with any questions.

Summer Reading List

The summer reading lists (Gr. K-5 Summer Reading List and JH Summer Reading List) can be found at the school website.   Please note that there have been some changes in the junior high academy lists.  Each class has a reading expectation for the summer. Please have your child read regularly ….as opposed to waiting till the weekend before school starts!  And don’t limit yourself to the requirements.

Special School Supply Information for Jr. High Students

There is a required TI-30X IIS calculator for 6, 7 and 8th graders.  If you need to purchase one, it is listed as a separate item from the grade level school supply kits.  Scroll down the page until you find it and add it to your order.

Meet and Greet

Families new to All Saints Catholic Academy will attend an orientation from 2:00-3:00 pm in McSherry Hall on Sunday, August 17th.  We will guide you through all your needs to start school!

For returning families, you and your child may visit your classroom and meet your teacher from 3:00 to 3:30 pm.  If you preordered a school supply packet, it will be available in your student’s classroom.  Junior High students will not have your locker assignments until the first day of school.  Once you have completed your classroom visit, you are invited to visit with other school families on the recess pad for popsicles.

Please enter through doors 7 or 1 to visit the classrooms first, and then use door 3 (the recess door) to go to the recess pad.  The popsicles may not be taken into the building.

Free and Reduced Lunch paperwork will be available at the Meet and Greet on Sunday, August 17.  Forms will be available in the school office, as well as on the school website.  If you wish to apply, please return the completed forms to All Saints by Wednesday, August 20.  All families must reapply each school year, even if you have received free or reduced lunches in the past.
