For six years, Mrs. Regina Martinez served as an Instructional Assistant in the Early Childhood Academy and is excited to begin her second year as the lead teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Criminology, a Juris Doctor, is a licensed Substitute Teacher, and is currently completing the final year of her Master of Arts in Teaching program with a concentration in Early Childhood Education.
Although she always dreamed of becoming a teacher, Mrs. Martinez began her career by tutoring English as a Second Language to adult learners before practicing law. After becoming a mother, she stepped away from her legal career to focus on raising her family. Once both of her sons were enrolled at ASCA, she began volunteering in the preschool classrooms, where she discovered her passion for early childhood education. That experience led to her role as an Instructional Assistant and, ultimately, to becoming a Pre-Kindergarten teacher.
Mrs. Martinez loves working at ASCA because of its strong faith-based mission and commitment to each child. She feels truly blessed to work with ASCA's youngest Saints, helping them learn, grow, and discover God's love each day. Every day brings new opportunities to inspire curiosity, nurture confidence, and share Christ's love with her students.
Regina lives in Naperville with her husband, Ruben, their two sons, Nico and Sergio, and their cat, Angel. Outside the classroom, she enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, volunteering at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, and creating lasting memories with her family.
