Mrs. Paula Breunig Is the Art Teacher at All Saints Catholic Academy. She was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio but now lives in Glen Ellyn with her husband, 2 boys, daughter and their two dogs. The Breunigs are huge sports fans especially for Ohio State, Purdue and Xavier University where her three kids attend college.
Mrs. Breunig has been teaching art in some form for the last 34 years. She graduated from The Ohio State University and started her career in Columbus teaching middle school art. Three years later, she moved to Chicago and went back to school and received a degree in Architectural Interior Design from the Harrington Institute of Interior Design. After graduation Mrs. Breunig worked in a design firm in Chicago for a few years before returning to teach at the high school and college level while raising her family. During this time, Mrs. Breunig also opened her own studio for children to create clothes, accessories, furniture and more for their American girl Dolls. She joined ASCA in 2018.
Art in Mrs. Breunig’s class is a combination of art history, art techniques, faith-based influences and creativity. Projects always start with inspiration from an artist and art history, followed by instruction using many various art materials and techniques. Mrs. Breunig loves teaching Art at All Saints because it provides her with the opportunity to share her love for art with children with a faith-based approach.
