Mrs. Maggie Magnussen and is very excited to join the ASCA family! After 28 years in the public school system, most of them teaching Kindergarten in IPSD 204, she is ready to share her faith with students, staff and families. She knows it will be very refreshing and rewarding to work in our faith-built community. She holds a BA in elementary education from Saint Mary's, Notre Dame and a Master's in Special Education from UW-Whitewater. She also has an ELL endorsement.
Maggie and her husband, Scott, live in Yorkville with a couple pups, Duke and Cooper. They have two children, Charlie (24) who is finishing with a marketing degree and is getting married in September and Ingrid (22) who is studying pre-vet. Maggie loves to be with her family including her parents, 5 siblings, their spouses and children, along with traveling, exercising and being with her dogs outside. Mrs. Magnussen is really looking forward to giving back to her Catholic faith here at ASCA!
