Mrs. Karen BlahaMrs. Karen Blaha has been a teacher in the Diocese of Joliet for over 10 years. She loves teaching at ASCA because she is able to teach the whole child; the mind and spirit!  Her favorite quote is from Maya Angelou: “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” She treats each student with dignity and compassion and starts each day as a new day, with a smile and a positive attitude.  Her teaching philosophy is all kids can learn but they learn at their own pace. She meets her students where they are and helps them develop and grow from there.

In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband, her 3 children, family, and friends. She loves boating, gardening, reading, and doing anything outside with her dog. She earned her undergraduate degree in Management from Purdue University and her MA Ed. from Benedictine University.

Faith's Law

All Saints follow's Faith's Law, an Illinois law enacted in 2023 to support schools in ensuring the safety of all children while at school. School Accreditation and Recognition

All Saints Catholic Academy is accredited through the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA).

WCEA is a nationally recognized accrediting body that evaluates Catholic schools based on academic quality, Catholic identity, leadership, and long-term sustainability. The achievement affirms the Diocese of Joliet’s and All Saints Catholic Academy's continued commitment to excellence in both education and faith formation and formalizes a process for continuous school improvement.


 

All Saints Catholic Academy has received 'Recognition' status from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) as a non-public school, and been state recognized since its inception in 2005.  A "recognized school" means that an ISBE appointed team has visited the school to confirm it is following all required laws. The ISBE team looks at school policies, student and staff files, safety records, and other things; a team revisits the school every five years.  Find out more about non-public school recognition at the ISBE site - https://www.isbe.net/nonpublicprograms.

School Year Hours:  7:30 AM - 4 PM.  Our main entrance during the school year is Door 1.

Summer Office Hours:  9am to Noon (Monday through Thursday) June through end of July.  Please come to Door 7 during the summer months.  Please phone first to confirm that the office is open.
