Kate Galise has known she wanted to be a teacher since she was 5 years old. She holds a BA in Secondary Education and History from John Carroll University and an MAEd in Curriculum & Instruction from North Central College. She has been teaching since 2003, and she has been at ASCA since 2016. Throughout her years in education (all in Catholic education), Mrs. Galise has taught ELA, Social Studies, and Religion to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. She and her husband Dave have two sons, both of whom attend ASCA.
Mrs. Galise loves drinking coffee, spending time with her family, and reading. Her favorite quote goes hand in hand with her teaching philosophy: "If you don't like to read, you haven't found the right book." (JK Rowling) She makes it her mission to create lifelong readers and writers.
