Barbara (Barb) Hoeft is one of our Jr. High Academy Science teachers. Mrs. Hoeft received her elementary education degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana. She and her husband Dan live in New Lenox and are active members of St. Jude Parish where she is a cantor and member of the choir. They have three adult children and four grandchildren, living in New Hampshire, Missouri and central Illinois. Mrs. Hoeft is one of nine children and has 80 first cousins!
Mrs. Hoeft loves to teach, knit, read, sing, play piano, bake and most of all, spend time with family. She has vast teaching experiences over the past 38 years, across four states, including primary self-contained classrooms, junior high science, math, music, ELA, advanced/gifted learners, as well as teaching job skills to 14-21 year olds. Mrs. Hoeft truly enjoys the ASCA family, as she helps more students discover God’s plan for their lives, praying many of them discover their role in Science! For as St. Catherine of Sienna said, "Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire!"
