Theresa Bartlett

5th Grade Teacher

Mrs. Bartlett

Theresa Bartlett graduated from Benedictine University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She later received an ELL endorsement from Aurora University. Mrs. Bartlett was a substitute teacher for the West Aurora School District for 9 years while her children were little. She then taught at St. Joseph Catholic School in Aurora for 5 years. Mrs. Bartlett joined ASCA in 2016 as a fifth grade teacher. In 2020 she joined the Jr. High team. After two years of teaching junior high math, she is excited to return to the 5th grade classroom! Mrs. Bartlett's teaching philosophy is that she has high expectations for her students but is also there to be their biggest supporter and will do all that she can to help them be successful. Her favorite reason for working at ASCA is the people. The faculty, staff, students and parents are the absolute best. Everyone is so supportive and united in the goal to make ASCA a welcoming and faith filled environment.

Mrs. Bartlett has been married to her high school sweetheart for 21 years. She is the proud parent to 3 children, David, Hannah and Adam. David is at Greenville University, IL, Hannah is at Carroll University, WI and Adam is a student at Aurora Central Catholic High School. Her hobbies include reading, playing with her dogs, and spending time outdoors. The quote that she believes sums up why she is a teacher is, "Our children are the living messages we send to a future we will never see."- Elijah Cummings
