For the past six years, Mrs. Regina Martinez has worked as an Instructional Assistant in the Early Childhood Academy. This year, she is excited to begin her new role as lead teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom! She holds a BA in English Literature and Criminology, a Juris Doctorate, is a licensed Paraprofessional and Substitute Teacher, and is currently enrolled in a program to obtain her Master of Arts in Teaching, concentrating on Early Childhood Education.
Always drawn to the idea of teaching, Mrs. Martinez tutored English as a second language to adult students. Once she became a mom, she took a break from practicing law to focus on her family. After both of her sons were enrolled at ASCA, she volunteered in the preschool classrooms and discovered her love for helping young students. This evolved into her role as an Instructional Assistant and, now, teacher.
She enjoys working at ASCA because of its faith-based values and dedication to the students. She feels so blessed to work with ASCA's youngest Saints and to watch them learn and grow. Each day is a new challenge and a new opportunity to share God's love with others.
Regina resides in Naperville with her husband, Ruben, their two sons, Nico and Sergio, and their cat, Angel. She enjoys traveling, yoga, volunteering at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, and making precious memories with her family.
