Virtual Christmas Program

Greetings! With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I wanted to reach out regarding the plans for Christmastime in the Music classes here at All Saints. I have so enjoyed working with all of our students so far this year, making and celebrating beautiful music even in these unprecedented times. We have been doing our best to make abundance out of limitation and remembering our motto this year of “Together We Can!”

In that spirit, we are doing our Christmas program a bit differently this year in order to be safe, and be in compliance with our school’s COVID-19 safety guidelines. While we cannot do a lot of our typical musical activities we love so much like sharing instruments or singing, music classes have still been able to be wonderfully creative and share God's gift of music with each other. We are using our bodies as our instruments and resting our singing voices in these times to keep each other safe. Instead, you will get to see us trying new things like using American Sign Language and making music with the most commonplace of items like buckets, scarves, and plates!

Since we cannot have visitors inside the building, we will be recording our performances and sending them home in a video link. We will be recording performances during music classes the week of 12/7. Please feel free to send your child to school in a dressy holiday outfit that they would typically wear to the Christmas program (if it were in-person) on the day we will be recording their class (schedule listed below). Students must be in uniform if they are not dressing up. Our video will feature all Kindergarten - 5th Grade classes. The video link will be sent out at 6:30 PM on Thursday, December 17th. Hopefully you can gather with your immediate family that evening to watch the performances together. We sincerely hope you will enjoy our virtual Christmas program, filled with all your holiday favorites!
