Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 8/31/2023 - Created for Community

Take a few minutes to reflect on today’s message from Pope Francis:

“Whenever our interior life becomes caught up in its own interests and concerns, there is no longer room for others, no place for the poor. God’s voice is no longer heard; the quiet joy of his love is no longer felt, and the desire to do good fades.”

God made us to be part of a community, to be people who look out for and serve one another. This quote from Pope Francis reminds us of our roles and responsibilities as part of a community. When we do things for others, we are doing them for Christ, and the end results improves our own lives as well!

It was great to see so many of you the last two evenings for Curriculum Night! Thank you for coming; hopefully you learned more about what to expect this school year and how we can work together to support your child’s continued growth and development. We are grateful to partner with you.

Saintly Ballers 3v3 Basketball Tournament

Just a reminder that today is the last day to order Saintly Ballers t-shirts. They can be ordered here and can be worn on Spirit Wear Wednesdays. Orders have to be completed by 11:59pm tonight, Thursday, 8/31!

Registration is still open for teams! No experience needed. It is going to be a day full of fun and friendly competition! Please send in paper registration forms to school or email them to amanda.c.solomon@gmail.com with a team check for $105. If you’re having trouble finding a team for your child, email Amanda and she can help! Register your team online here

Event takes place on Sunday, 9/24/23, 12-3:35pm. Go Saints!

Fall Musical: The Wizard of Oz

We are so excited to be bringing back the musical! Plan to join us the weekend of November 17/18 for what will be an amazing performance by our very own students. All 5th-8th grade students are invited to participate; the first workshop is after school Wednesday, September 6th, in McSherry Hall, and tryouts are after school Friday, September 8th

COVID Cases

We will be following all guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Diocese of Joliet with regard to COVID-19. Please contact our school nurse Mrs. Fuller if you have questions, but overall please remember to practice good hygiene, including frequent hand washing and covering coughs, and stay home if you are ill. We will be using FACTS Family Portal to keep you updated on cases of COVID-19 in our school community this year. This information can be found by clicking Resource Documents from the left menu; you should then see COVID Case Tracking 2023-2024 as the first attachment. You can also click here and bookmark this page.

Charleston Wrap Sale

Tomorrow we will officially kick off our fall Charleston Wrap fundraiser! Click here for a flyer with detailed instructions about how you can register online and support the school. Information will also be coming home with youngest and only today. There are lots of great items for sale, and a percentage of all sales supports the school – and goes toward your FFO (Family Fundraising Obligation)! It’s never too early to start getting ready for the holidays!

Save the Date: ASCA Fun Run

Mark your calendars for our annual Fun Run on Friday, September 22nd! All students will participate in this fun event during the school day to help raise money for All Saints. Look for more information in the coming weeks, and consider volunteering to help out at the event as well!

Social Emotional Learning
