Saints Speak from Mrs. Marshall - 11/16/2023 - The Lord Has Redeemed All of Us

Take a few minutes today to reflect on these words from Pope Francis:

The Lord has redeemed all of us, all of us, with the blood of Christ: all of us, not just Catholics. Everyone! ‘Father, the atheists?’ Even the atheists. Everyone!”

What a wonderful reminder of just how much God loves us. Even when we doubt, don’t believe, and don’t follow him, he loves us. All of us.

Wizard of Oz

Our students have been working so hard in preparation for this weekend’s performances of The Wizard of Oz! Don’t miss your chance to see the first ASCA show since 2019 – shows are Friday and Saturday evening, both at 7pm. Click here to purchase your ticket today. Pre-sale tickets are available until noon tomorrow for $3 per student and $7 per adult; all tickets sold at the door are $10 each. Come follow the yellow brick road with us!

Grandparents Day

We are looking forward to a great Grandparents Day together on Tuesday. All grandparents and special guests should plan to enter at Door 1; the morning will include refreshments, time to visit classrooms, photos taken by Elan Photography, and Mass at 10:15am. Due to space limitations this school Mass will be only for students and their grandparents/special guests; parents, we look forward to having you back for our next school Mass after Thanksgiving.

As a reminder, all students will dismiss at 11:30am on Tuesday to begin the long holiday weekend. There is no lunch, no bus home, and no after care on Tuesday. If you know your child will not be in attendance on Tuesday, please let us know in advance by emailing attendance@ascacademy.org

Open House and 2024-2025 Enrollment

We had a very successful Open House last night, with 27 prospective families touring the school! Thank you to all who invited a friend to attend, and congratulations to the Blackwell family who won the raffle for referring families and will get $100 off their FFO!

If you have a friend, neighbor, or relative who is considering Catholic education for next year but couldn’t make it to Open House, encourage them to visit our website and inquire about enrollment or email Patty Bajek directly. We have begun accepting applications from new families and are looking forward to welcoming more saints to our school in the near future!

Strategic Plan

Throughout the spring and summer of 2023, we have been in the process of creating our new strategic plan to guide our progress and growth over the next five years. The creation of the plan has been a collaborative effort of the ASCA administration, faculty, Board of Directors, Board committees, and Executive Board. Please click here to view the Strategic Plan for 2023-2028. The plan guides the work of our school leadership, Board of Directors, and committees. The Board of Directors and school administration manage a working document of action items tied to the plan’s goals; this working document is regularly updated and reevaluated to ensure we are making progress toward our goals and staying aligned to our mission. If you have any questions about the plan, or if you are passionate about one of these goals and would like to get more involved in making it a reality at ASCA, please reach out!

Update on Mr. Dulik

Earlier this fall I asked for your prayers for our Athletic Director Mr. Dan Dulik, who had a medical emergency at one of our volleyball games. Mr. Dulik still needs your prayers, as he has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment. His family has set up this Caring Bridge site to share updates. We are also working with his family to plan a benefit, hosted here at ASCA, to help with his medical expenses. Please save the date for Saturday, January 6th, for a family-friendly cornhole tournament to benefit Mr. Dulik. More details will be shared as soon as they are available. Thank you for keeping the Dulik family in your prayers!
